Trya Vinluan belted out 16 other finalists at Al Breem Videoke challenge Season 2

ABU DHABI – Seventeen Filipino singers were staged at the Al Breem Videoke Challenge Season 2 grand finals last Friday, December 21 at Al Nakheel Hotel & Apartments wherein four of the finalists were chosen as winners.

The finalists were judged in two different rounds, the slow song and fast song renditions based on the criteria voice quality (30%); rhythm & tempo (25%), vocal expression (15%), entertainment value or audience impact (15%) and videoke score (15%).

Tyra Vinluan who sang a unique version of the OPM hit “Till I Met You” and “Dancing Queen” garnered her highest average score of 93.88 percent and was proclaimed the champion of the Videoke Challenge. She received cash, Medicacom karaoke set, free hotel stay and gift vouchers.

The 1^st runner-up was Marc Chris Canares (92.90%) who have gained the highest applaud in his “Totoy Bibo” for the fast song.

Gemma Tapong (90.88%) and Edfel Aureada (89.80%) were the 2nd and 3rd runners-up, respectively, in the contest.

The other finalists who have made it to the final show of their singing prowess were Armie Engrada, Arlene Letran, Arlene Gallosa, Miriam Laput, Richard Sanchez, EJ Jaro, Jeffy Lozarez, Elesio Viray, Ismael Babao, Geromil Belandres, Jeffrey Orbillo and Patrick Stephen Digo.

Judges of the final competition were Ms. Belle Crisolo, Edgar Santilan, Philip D. Esteves Jr. and Laliebeth Petancio.

 

Joemar Licanda shines as Al Breem Videoke challenge winner

Abu Dhabi  – Out of the ten contenders of Al Breem Videoke singing competition held last Thursday, April 19, Joemar Licanda made it to the spot as winner and finalist of the battle which grand finals will be held May 3 at Al Nakheel Hotel Apartments in Abu Dhabi.

The 29-year old former vocalist at Muzikk Avenue band tried his luck in the competition and treated his friends a Thursday music bonding . He sang the Air Supply’s Now and Forever for the slow/mellow round and he rock with the audience on his “I Want to Break Free” by Queen garnering him the dashing score of 94.

” Di ko po inasahan na isa po ako sa napili na makaabut sa grand finals. Kaya salamat po talaga unang una kay Lord at sa buong management and staff  ng Al Breem Restaurant at sa lahat po ng sumali sa karaoke challenge good luck po saten sa grand finals”, grateful Joemar.

The singing contest was judged according to the criteria voice quality (30%; Ryhtm & tempo (25%); vocal expression (15%); Videoke score (15%) and entertainment value/audience impact (15%).

The other six (6) winners of the night’s elimination who will also join the finale are John Michael Nacalaban, Leonard ramos, Francis Saribo, Michael Saribo, Jones Adarna and Eds Buenaventura.

Pinoy amateur singers belt out at Al Breem Videoke challenge

Abu Dhabi  – A series of four eliminations Videoke Challenge has opened opportunities for Pinoy singers in capital to show-off their vocal prowess in a simple competition hosted by Al Breem Restaurant in Al Nakheel Hotel Apartments Abu Dhabi.

‘’We came with the idea of inviting karaoke enthusiasts especially Filipinos into a challenge to have fun on a Thursday night, not only to give them recognition and prizes but be entertained and be stressed relieved from the pressures of work’’, said host Odessa Bonifacio.

The contest has started in March 8 as the first elimination with 5 contenders in a row followed the second elimination last March 22 held at the restaurant.

Mr. Patrick Stephen Diego and Mr. Gary Maigue were the challengers / winners of the eliminations, respectively and both are waiting for the final round to happen on May 3.

‘’I am impressed by how Filipinos sing and bring entertainment, from here we came the idea of organizing a Videoke challenge as an avenue for them to express their talents and foster friendship’’, expressed Al Nahkheel hotel general manager Mr. Ghassan Nehme who led the awarding to the participants and winners after the contest.

The 3^rd and 4^th eliminations will be held on April 5 & 19, respectively in the same venue.

Twenty nine singers have belted at Battle of the Best, rankings revealed

Abu Dhabi – Twenty nine Filipino singers in UAE have belted out in the elimination rounds of the Battle of the Best Season 3 that kicked off earlier this month at the Vertical Bar, Ramada Downtown Hotel organized by OPMMAD and Silakbo Events.

They were judged according to the criteria which includes Voice quality (vocal quality/voice clarity/vocal stunts) 40%, Interpretation & Style (unique approach/choice of song/facial expression) 30%, Stage presence (confidence/enthusiasm/presentation) 20%, and audience appeal (ability to captivate the audience) 10%.

For three series of eliminations as on October 20, contenders with ranks from 1 to 13 are Angelo Bernal, Gigliola Yulo, France Ann Elias, Richard Sanchez, Camilio Trinidad, Melgar Ballaran, Elizaldy Napa, Kresna Venturanza, John Michael Nacalaban, Ireneo Dularte Jr, Arlene Gallosa, Patrick Stephen Digo, Reinon Tolentino, Joven Cruz, Jason Enriquez, Rhaylyn Cuyo, Richard Saragpon and Christine Joyce Barrientos.

Elimination of contestants is extended to 4rth round this coming Friday, October 27 in the same venue and time.

The grand finals will be held in November at a larger venue showcasing the top talented singers.
